Montessori Coop is a mixed-age international community for children aged 2.5 to 6. Located in a secluded villa in Akatlar, with a spacious and well-equipped garden, we offer an authentic Montessori Children’s House where each child is supported to develop independence, concentration and a love of learning in a carefully
prepared and welcoming environment.
The Montessori Approach
A holistic method based on the principle of following the child, Montessori offers freedom of choice within clear and consistent limits. Using scientifically designed materials that prioritise hands-on learning, each child works at their own pace, following their natural interests and developmental needs. Qualified staff observe and support each individual learning journey, encouraging a spirit of curiosity and self-expression.
Daily Life at Montessori Coop
An uninterrupted 3-hour morning work cycle is central to the Montessori approach. Children select their own activities, working independently, in small groups, or with a teacher. The afternoon session prioritises free outdoor play, facilitating the development of social and gross motor skills.
Food and Wellbeing
We provide healthy snacks and a balanced lunch, freshly prepared in our kitchen, using organic and seasonal ingredients.
